WHAT IS YOUR CAT TELLING YOU BY DIFFERENT POSITIONS OF HER TAIL?

WRITTEN BY XENA

Have you ever wondered what your PET wants to tell you, or what she says to her four-legged friends? One way to find out is to watch her tail. All of us who love CATS or have them as PETS witness the scenes every day, where they raise their tails, just like a flag, wrap them around their legs or lower them. To better understand them, learn to read, what they tell you about the different positions of their tail. Here I will look at 9 cat tail positions as an indicator of their mood.

1. TAIL FLAT AND HIGH IN THE AIR

It is an indicator of your cat's happiness, satisfaction, excitement, and self-confidence, but also her readiness for friendship. She greets you with a straight and high-raised tail, rejoices in you, and welcomes you. Also, the CAT greets the other CAT in this way, and the little CATS greets his mother asking for food. In any case, a straight and high, air-raised tail shows the positive emotions of your PET.

    2. TAIL RAISED AND CURVED IN THE FORM OF A QUESTIONNAIRE

If the CAT raises its tail and its tip is curved like a question mark, it is a sign that it wants to play with you. It is an invitation to have fun and socialize together. She thus shows her joy and playfulness and asks you to give her your attention.

   3. THE TAIL IS LOWERD DOWN

Some CAT BREEDS, such as the PERSIAN, lower their tails for no particular reason. But a lowered tail to the ground signifies serious mood, hesitation, and even aggression. If the CAT is outside the house and examining the terrain, then it may mean that she is insecure and cautious because something has caught her attention. If the tail is lowered and curled next to the body, when the CAT is lying down, it is a sign of comfort and satisfaction.

4. FOLDED TAIL (TAIL BETWEEN CAT'S LEGS)

This position of the tail, CAT will have mostly, when outside or in an unexplored area, and is an indicator of fear, obedience, and submissiveness. It is a sign that someone or something has caused nervousness in your CAT.

5. COWED TAIL

Indicates fear or aggression of your PET. With a shriveled and twice as thick tail, the CAT tries to look bigger and corpulent than it really is, to avoid possible impending danger. If the CAT smooths down its ears and bends its back into a bow, it expresses a defensive attitude, or it may attack.

6. WRAPPED TAIL

This tail position means carefree, relaxing, contentment, love, and friendship. Wrapping the tail around another cat is the same as a man crossing his arm over another man's shoulder. This is how a CAT expresses friendship towards another CAT. If he wraps his tail around your leg, it is a sign of sincere friendship and trust toward you. If she lies down and wraps her tail around her legs, it means that she enjoys it very much and that she is maximally relaxed.

7. WAVING THE TAIL FORWARD-BACK

In contrast to a DOG, which waves its tail when it is joyful and happy, waving its tail back and forth in CAT signifies irritation, aggression, fear, anger, and distrust. Therefore, beware!

8. WAVING THE TAIL LEFT-RIGHT

Slightly wagging its tail left and right is characteristic of CATS that are focused on something, for example, a toy, a bird, a butterfly, or a piece of cat food that has just fallen out of a bowl. After that, there will certainly be a jump to a fixed object.

9. RAISE THE SHAKING TAIL

CAT lifted her tail straight and shook it? By doing so, she expresses happiness because she saw you or, perhaps, because she just caught the prey.

In any case, it is very important to follow the "speech" of the bodies of our PETS in order to better understand them and understand what they have to "tell" us. In this way, we will not only deepen our relationship with each other but also enrich our relationship with other people with empathy and understanding. And therefore:

"We take care of our pets as for ourselves."
